I’d been wanting to climb this thing for years.

—–

This is an obvious arch right off the side of the road south of Moab. Sam and I climbed it right after we did Grumpies. It’s 5.6, 2 pitches, and 400′ long. The climbing itself isn’t very good but the rappel makes up for it.

This little adventure was fun and worth doing, but the actual climbing (and rappel, for that matter) wasn’t quite as good as Looking Glass Rock.

Looking down mid-rappel. Wrapping the rope around your leg a few times lets you hang hands-free while rappelling.
