I took these two photos from my bedroom window in Beijing, China, in March 2002. It was the biggest/worst dust storm Beijing had seen in decades. I remember going outside for a bit and you could just taste the dirt and grit in the air. All the dust was swooped up from the Gobi Desert and dumped onto Beijing. Rows of parked bicycles were blown over. It was epic.
Oh, and the colors in these photos have not been enhanced or changed at all. This is exactly what it looked like outside.
